How can you tell what kind of impression that it?
This is a portrait printed on newprint and contains items and advertisements in the back. It is dated December 1920 on the side of the newsprint. Can anyone tell me what kind of impression that is. I think it may be an artist's proof. http://www.flickr.com/photos/anniekrogh/2925060581/

No method of protection of the image is totally effective, but, however, artists must take reasonable steps to protect their images do not authorized use. The objective of this study is to show what can be done rather than how. Image Preparation
The best protection is that images are only used as web graphics.

Protection files
Several steps can be taken to keep your image files as inaccessible as possible.
5. Protect your home directory picture. Many web designers make their images and graphics appropriate name in folders (subdirectories). Browsers automatically finds an "index" or "default" in each subdirectory, and if not there is one, display a list of all files in the directory the sub-region. This means that anyone can get a complete list of all your images and take what they want. Not much sense in using guarantees (of course, right-click) the lists of content files are accessible. To avoid this, place an index page in each directory where you have images. The page can not be a blank document, or may include an appropriate message.

7. Internet Explorer 6 has a a bit annoying feature called "Picture toolbar. Every Once you place the mouse over an image, the image toolbar appears, and prompts you to save, print, (etc.). To disable the image toolbar, insert the following code between the HEAD tags of your webpage: <meta HTTP-EQUIV = content = "no"> "imagetoolbar.
Technical Code
There are a number of ways different, you can use the code to discourage people from copying your website images, but unfortunately none of them are fool proof. They have just never discourage the casual thief.

Other options
13. Invisible watermarks, such as created by Digimarc digital players a personal identification number of the image. They prevent not the pictures you have, but give a proof of ownership.
14. There are a number of new techniques and software options, but they all need a little experience, or expenditures.
