How dry climate areas like Palm Springs to justify all the golf courses?
I have just returned from a week in timeshare in the Palm Springs area and I wonder how such a dry climate in May to justify more than 65 golf courses. I wonder how much water a golf course requires keeping Green. Is the water recycled? Could there be a better way to do so. Why not use artificial turf? I do not golf, just enjoy the hot pool, tennis, etc.
