Why the movement of 19th century art called Impressionism?
I am very curious to know because I'm an art student why Movement of Article 19 of the last century to Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Pierre Bonnard, called Impressionism? thanx so much 4 ur help i really appreciate it:)
Van Gogh was not an Impressionist, was an Expressionist (also known as post-impressionism, which means it came after Impressionism). But to answer your question.
