Can anyone tell me about Reginald Marsh and his painting "Monday night at the Metropolitan?
Any consideration of anaylizations or Part would be greatly appreciated. I have to do a survey on people's responses and these are personal thoughts would be great. Thank you!
Not a great fan. And I think that this particular work is one of his strongest. It's a little too nice, and hell horizontal error of me. In fact, it puts a decorated space, compare the table of "New York Movie Edward Hopper" (same age, same city, a similar theme). Not only a more dynamic composition, but you can almost feel the velvet seats, and hear the audience breathe.
Baltimore, Maryland, is located on the shores of the vast Chesapeake Bay nearly 200 domestic miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Located some 35 km northeast of Washington DC and 75 miles southwest of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
