Question: I bought two limited edition prints of a virtual art gallery, and that the gallery hopes to provide "certificates of authenticity" art. In both cases, art is sent, but no certificates. Gallery said certificates e-mail to me, but I have not yet received. If sensors to obtain certificates of authenticity to buy art? Or certificates to be sent separately after the purchase art? A: To begin, there are tremendous abuses "certificate of authenticity "COA or business, especially in online auctions. Unless a certificate of authenticity of origin and signed by the artist, the art editor (In the case of limited editions), a distributor or agent has confirmed the artist (and not third or distributor), or a recognized expert on the artist, which is quite meaningless. A legitimate COA must contain specific details when and how art is produced, the names of persons or companies involved in its production, the title Art exact dimensions, and the names of books Reference or similar resources that contain specific or relevant information on the art and / or artist. Must also indicate the status of the person or entity as the author of the certificate and include your full contact details and updated.
Certificate formal authenticity is not necessarily required to prove that the artwork is authentic. Any valid receipt, bill of sale, or proof of purchase of all the artist herself or a confirmed case and established broker or agent of the artist will do. An evaluation of a recognized authority on the artist is also acceptable. I repeat: Only qualified personnel documents are acceptable, are not those of anyone who appreciate art, or any distributor or agent who buys or sells casual works of the artist in question.
Certificates of authenticity are often problematic and some may even be worthless. Many people believe that art with a certificate of authenticity is automatically true, but it is not necessarily the case. For starters, there are laws that govern it or not qualified to write certificates of authenticity, or what kind of statements, information or documentation should include a certificate of authenticity. In other words, anyone can write a COA if they are qualified or not. And if that is not enough, unscrupulous sellers can and aims to establish official certificates of authenticity and used to sell counterfeit products, either directly or distort existing artworks as more important or valuable than they are really. And to make matters worse, meaning the COA has been issued for decades, a certificate of authenticity dated 1955, for example, perhaps more sense than a letter today.
Your situation is worrying because the seller would have said that art had the certificates of authenticity, but not send them to art. It is further complicated by the fact that the seller promised to send them, but did not. Best procedure for you is to try to recover your money and buy elsewhere. Note that if a work of art is supposed with a certificate authenticity, the certificate must accompany the art when it arrives.
* A conditional statement in a certificate of authenticity, that "our views taken into account …" or "We believe …" signs that art can not be true. A valid certificate States that art is probably the artist who has signed.
* A valid certificate of authenticity must contain documented evidence or evidence of why art is authentic.
* If you have questions about a certificate of authenticity, please contact the person or entity that the letter, if it is not the seller, and make these issues before you buy art.
* When the contact information in a certificate of authenticity is no longer valid or expired, please contact a current power about the artist. Determine if the old certificate of authorship of a legitimate authority and is sufficient proof that the art is authentic.
* A statement that a true work of art is valid only if made by a respected authority about the artist. Qualifications This person must be indicated on the certificate.
* A certificate of the lack of information contact the appropriate person or company that states, or only with an unidentifiable signature should not be considered valid.
