Do not drink cold water / cold drinks cause rheumatic daily in the good old days?
Asians, particularly China believes that drinking ice water / cold drinks can cause rheumatic old days. And it's worse if you drink in the morning. What is your opion? And anyone there any scientific data to support this theory?
Well first, there is no condition called rheumatic. 
Do not know if you plan to rheumatic fever or rheumatoid arthritis, but does not really matter because drinking ice water or cold drinks can contribute not the case or any other condition. Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory disease in May to develop as a complication of untreated or inadequately treated strep throat. Strep throat is caused by infection with bacteria Streptococcus group A Rheumatoid arthritis is a form of arthritis inflammation that causes joint pain and damage. Rheumatoid arthritis attacks the lining of the joints (synovium) causing swelling that can cause pain and throbbing and eventually deformity. What we speak is an old wives superstition of history, nothing more.
