How long can you get something printed?
How fast can I get? The answer is changing all the time. Also depends what you need to print and what printing company you mentioned.
I'll try to give some guidelines, but there exceptions to the rule. Firstly, we have a print job that just needs to be printed and cut. Printing Digital can be activated within hours, sometimes because of the small number of stages of production and the ability to manage work almost immediately.
Over time you will be able to convert a digital work in 2-3 days if is simple and the same day, perhaps. You've no doubt that the possibility of a electronic evidence in PDF format or need to be in the printer to approve first leaves emerging from the press.
The danger is that the ink is not cured. Manufacturers of digital printing you that the work can be cut to the right of the press, but it is not true 100% of the time. Always prefer a digital work, let sit overnight if possible. A print job that does offset need nothing rather than printing and cutting can not generally be the same day. This is because the ink is dry or in need healing. Work is to give a few hours to ensure the ink is dry.
There are exceptions to this, but it brings problems of quality in the game, you must accept that clients may be less than perfect print job. If your work requires additional steps to finish you need to add extra time in planning the work. Each additional step in the production conditions to allow more time. Do or Die scoring work? Is it necessary to bow? Is it necessary to glue or bind? Is it over, as raised or forged aluminum foil. A good rule is to add one day additional for each process is happening.
